Audio and Video Conferencing

MLL Telecom can supply both managed and unmanaged audio, and managed video conferencing to enable your teams and customers to communicate with each other even if you’re on the other side of the country.

Audio Conferencing

MLL’s Cloud Audio is a National platform for delivering both managed and unmanaged audio conferencing across the workplace. Our service is used to connect traditionally incompatible audio services and devices together, enabling customers to easily host multi-party audio conferences from a desktop, mobile device or conference room phone system.

Available as an on-premises, cloud or hybrid-cloud service the service is accessed with a dial-in conference number and conference/user credentials, accessible through a range of non-geographic (030x, 0800) and geographic dial-in numbers (01, 02, 03). Included with the service is software access applications, browser plug-ins and has native support for Chrome and Chromebooks with no download required.

Video Conferencing

MLL’s Cloud Video conferencing service enables organisations to extend audio-visual communications outside of the network boundary to help.

The service bridges together audio and video conferencing technologies, supporting standards-based (SIP or H.323) video conferencing equipment. In addition, it can interoperate with Microsoft software clients, such as Skype for Business. MLL Cloud Video includes 24 x 7 support, and access to technical support from video and networking specialists.

The Audio Conferencing Service will be provided as, either an on-premises deployment or cloud service.  In either deployment model this provides:

  • Audio call control and multi-person meeting capability
  • IP or ISDN / PSTN breakout / call in to and from external-based partner organisations
  • Call in from Internet-based users with browser-only capability
  • Voice call packages (bundled minutes) for ISDN break-out and 0800 number call-in

The MLL Cloud Audio Service will provide the following features:

  • Ad-hoc or scheduled calls – Ability to host ad-hoc conference calls, with common (personal) connection details, or schedule single or repeating calls months in advance.
  • Range of in call options – Mute individual attendees, mute all attendees, room locking, conference PINs supported as examples.
  • Intuitive user experience – Audio conferences are simple to host and join, whether scheduled or ad hoc, and with both internal users and external partners
  • Web browser support – Both internal users and external partners may join via a web browser with only a webcam, speakers/headset and microphone.
  • Recording and transcription – Optional ability to record conference sessions, transcribe and flow transcriptions or links to the audio content to external systems or storage.

The MLL Cloud Video Service will provide the following features:

  • Provides a migration path away from the legacy video conferencing services, such as ISDN based platforms and the BT N3 VC bridging service.
  • A scalable, enterprise-grade video communications service built upon UK sovereign, highly secure infrastructure, from multiple data centre locations.
  • Supports all standards-based video conferencing endpoints; existing video endpoints may be simply migrated to and managed by our service.
  • The service has a common interface with simple to use call control mechanisms across a multitude of endpoints and user devices, such as video conferencing and Multi-Discipline Team (MDT) locations, the user desktop, smartphone and tablet devices.
  • Provides for a simple to use video room user experience, following pre-set templates for common presentation, video conferencing and MDT usage.
  • Audio and video conferences are simple to host and join, whether scheduled or ad hoc, and with both internal users, health and social care users (HSCN / N3) and Internet-connected partners from any location. Interoperates with any standards-based video endpoint or infrastructure, Microsoft Skype for Business / Office 365 and allows individuals to join conferences from a web browser.
  • Ability to record video sessions, transcribe and flow transcriptions or links the video content to the patient record, for example.
  • A templated approach to consuming rooms and endpoints based upon requirements and scenarios.
