Our Environment
MLL is committed to helping tackle climate change and reducing our impact on the environment. We have committed to reach net-zero emissions by 2040 and have a Carbon Reduction Plan which supports this commitment.
What we’ve done
- 390 Tonnes of CO₂e eliminated since 2019 – an “ahead of target” 31.7% reduction over 5 years, equivalent to planting over 17,700 trees
- The MLL Environment Management System (EMS) is certified to ISO 14001
- We expect all contractors and suppliers to adopt standards consistent with our own and will encourage our partners to do so. We make sufficient investigation of the organisations we rely upon to ensure they meet their statutory duties and carry out regular reviews to ensure continuing compliance.
- All employees are encouraged to participate towards: reducing greenhouse gas emission, adopting energy saving practices, reducing the impact of waste on the environment and promoting the opportunity for viable means of recycling.
