Suffolk County Council: Partner Behind a Regional Network

Suffolk County Council’s vision was to develop a regional network that supported the goals of all public sector organisations within a tightening operational budget.

MLL worked with the Council to develop a commercial and technology roadmap that supported the expansion of the Suffolk Regional Network. This included providing full access to all new products and services as they were launched in the market.

The Story

The Council’s vision was to develop a regional network that supported the goals of all Public Sector Organisations in the Region and enable extensive collaboration between them.  The challenge though was how to deliver this within a tightening operational budget, whilst ensuring the highest level of service was still maintained.

MLL worked with Council to develop a commercial and technology roadmap that supported the expansion of the Suffolk Regional Network. This included providing full access to all new products and services as they were launched in the market. 

An on-boarding process was established to ensure all new users received the service they required.

This was followed by a clear transition process managed by MLL, which ensured seamless migrations and only planned downtime.

MLL’s service model provides for an industry standard 24×7 365 Days Network Operations Centre however this was supplemented by an extensive in-house field engineering team and direct access to its very best technical people. Access to MLL’s technical teams has been the backbone of a very successful and long term partnership.
