Gurminder Badh – RAN Project Engineer

The thing I enjoy most at MLL is achieving the end goal. This follows all the hard work that has gone into planning and executing an upgrade to a customer site.

Working as part of MLL’s Mobile Network Services team, my role typically involves gathering data from the MLL engineering personnel actively involved in a site upgrade as well as additional useful information from the customer. All this is then presented to the customer for review. To help our engineers build the upgrade, the role also calls for making detailed diagrams using Visio to show how an existing site is currently connected and how the upgrade will eventually be connected.

From my initial introduction, to settling in as part of the team, it has always been about the people that work at MLL. In every way possible, they have always helped me to feel comfortable and given me the opportunity to learn new skills by joining customer training sessions.

Winning a company recognition award was a big and pleasant surprise! This was in recognition of my hard work in kickstarting the customer hand over pack as part of a major Radio Access Network (RAN) upgrade project.

My goal for the next few years is to develop my skills so I can understand the whole side of RAN, from initial planning and costing through to final handover to the customer. With the ongoing support of our current teams and MLL’s company values, as well as through various opportunities that will be delegated to help me grow individual skills, I feel confident in achieving this aim.
