What I enjoy most about my role is developing systems and streamlining processes that help MLL to grow. A typical day for me might involve assisting with data analysis, building a Power BI dashboard, or speaking with other members of the team to find areas for improvement.
For me, this is very satisfying and rewarding as the company does important work and really cares a lot about the public sector – I just knew I wanted to be part of it. By having the opportunity to develop new skills with things like SQL and Power BI, I can help make a difference.
Everyone I’ve interacted with at MLL has been incredibly supportive and friendly, offering to help when I’ve needed it and spending time with me so I can better understand the company and what we do. MLL also offers a great work-life balance which encourages me to do my best work.
My biggest achievement so far is developing a tool that will help others to save time and work more efficiently. This kind of project excites me the most because I’m able to see the impact that it has on the team, making their day-to-day simpler.
Over the next couple of years, I hope to achieve the top grade in my apprenticeship and develop a strong skillset that will allow me to make a real difference at MLL.
