Supporting the traffic growth on mobile networks isn't always straightforward, but our combination of fibre services and microwave radio lets us bring fresh ideas to every project. Using our own 32GHz and 40GHz wireless spectrum, we can quickly install point-to-point services without needing to wait for spectrum allocation from Ofcom. Combining this with our fixed services means that we can help our customers solve the most challenging of their mobile backhaul problems.
LTE Microwave Backhaul
We can deliver high capacity microwave backhaul links - up to 500Mb/s - designed to complement LTE cells. Our cross polar antennae double the available bandwidth if needed up to 1Gb/s across a single link. A recent deployment of this technology by MLL Telecom has delivered a backhaul network with an uptime of 99.9995%.
In-house network planning and design
Our planning and design capabilities are in-house: we can combine network design, site acquisition, planning consent and line of sight surveys into a customised offering designed to increase lifetime performance.
We design every network link using real-world experience, we don't just rely on the theoretical technical specifications provided by equipment manufacturers. For example, our engineers make use of our own database that includes 50 years' historical weather data to determine the true performance of every link. By using this real-world design experience MLL Telecom has successfully replaced competitors' links that were under-performing.

Our Network Operations Centre pro-actively manages each one of our 5,000 links across the UK and does so around the clock. It's staffed by engineers, not call centre personnel, and in 90% of cases, we'll detect a fault before the customer does.
Our in-house force of field engineers complements the service offered by our NOC. Our engineers cover 100% of mainland UK and are accredited to work for multiple operator structures, and have a wide range of specialist qualifications. Having our own field engineers, rather than relying on a subcontractor, means that faults needing attention at site can be fixed in just 3½ hours on average.
Reporting is important to us. Of course we provide guaranteed SLAs on every link but, more than that, we deliver regular management reports which show the performance of the network in relation to the SLA.
One size doesn't fit all, which is why our pricing structure is flexible and bespoke. So that means we can provide a rental model, capex model or a combination of the two to suit any budget.
