Networks for education
MLL Telecom has provided many schools and universities with a greater level of connectivity as well as saving costs through network sharing with local authorities. Increased use of virtual learning platforms has given teachers and students the chance to benefit from an online environment, but traffic levels have grown accordingly. MLL Telecom can meet these new demands placed on your academic networks whilst assuring the privacy you'd expect for your schools' networks. All networks designed and built by MLL Telecom will comply with GCSx and will be PSN-ready.
Local loop unbundling (LLU)
Shared networks by MLL Telecom
MLL Telecom is currently working for a County Council, providing them with a complete shared network. This comprises 1,900 circuits to 700 end-user locations. These include fire stations, primary and secondary schools, council buildings and libraries.
For more details, including more about the re-convergence and the latency of the network please visit our Network Sharing Resource Centre.
We can offer services based on DSL using Local loop unbundling (LLU) or we can deploy lower cost wireless services, because we have our own wireless spectrum across the UK we do not have the wait for the spectrum allocation from Ofcom. We've currently got over 5,000 circuits and connections across the country.
From our headquarters in Marlow, we keep a close eye on all our networks. Our dedicated Network Operation Centre is manned around the clock by engineers who can start to fix faults as soon as they notice them. In 90% of cases, that happens before the customer realises anything needs fixing. Having our own force of highly-qualified field engineers, rather than relying on a subcontractor, means that faults needing attention at site can be fixed in just 3» hours on average.
What customers say about MLL Telecom

In-house network planning and design
Alongside our Network Operations Centre we have network planners and designers who offer everything from site acquisition to line of sight surveys, ensuring that the lifetime design of all our networks is optimised (not just the initial stages).
For every link we deploy, we provide a defined SLA, along with a more in-depth management report so our customers can make use of the information. This means they'll be able to see how their network is measuring up against the SLA itself.
Flexible pricing models
Our pricing structure is as flexible as our networks. Customers do not have to choose between rental or capex models: we will meet their budget profile by suggesting a combination of the two if that's suitable.
We currently provide networks for East Sussex Schools, University of East Anglia, Cardiff University, Bangor University, University of Glamorgan and Merthyr Tydfil College.
