Home : What We Do : Wireless Links

MLL Telecom Ltd uses wireless links to transmit and receive information between different locations - known as Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint linking. Your transmission can be made up of voice, data, video or a convergent mix of all three.

These points (or stations) must have a physical Line of Sight (LOS) (sometimes referred to as DLOS – Direct Line of Sight) - or at least near line of sight - between them as microwave radio energy is either absorbed or blocked by physical obstructions such as trees, hills or buildings.

Wireless connectivity is easily explained – it is simply a network that is connected without wires – which in practice means you benefit from cheaper faster installation and less hassle in creating your network.

Our wireless links surmount the obstacles associated with remote connectivity, rural connectivity, and the need for resilience and speed in your connections – whether across a LAN, WAN or MAN (Metropolitan Area Network).

Wireless connectivity is available in a band of radio frequencies. Bandwidths start at 2Mbit/s and increase to multiple 155Mbit/s and Gigabit capacities. Gigabit (Gb) microwave links ensure the fastest connection speeds currently available over a commerciallay available radio link.
