Wireless links
Microwave radio links are the ideal choice if a customer needs connectivity in a remote location. Fixed links might prove too expensive or difficult to deploy, but microwave radio overcomes these problems. MLL Telecom provides fully-managed point-to-point and point-to-multipoint microwave radio links which can deliver nx2Mb/s, 10Mb/s, 100Mb/s and 1Gb/s throughputs.
Ofcom-licensed operator
MLL Telecom is a fully licensed operator with code system powers, which grant us the planning permissions we need to enable rapid wireless circuit deployments. We own wireless spectrum across the UK at 32GHz and 40GHz, which offers customers interference-free point-to-point wireless services. Because we own the spectrum, we don't have to get allocation from Ofcom, so we can work quickly to deploy lower cost wireless services where they're needed.
What customers say about MLL Telecom
MLL has proved a valuable partner in delivering hard to reach connections to enable BT to deliver a great service at a price which is competitive for our customers.

We also use light-licensed spectrum to solve some of our customers needs. Our operator licence gives us a high level of visibility when it comes to other planned uses of this spectrum.
LTE Microwave Backhaul
We can deliver high capacity microwave backhaul links - up to 500Mb/s - designed to complement LTE cells. Our cross polar antennae double the available bandwidth if needed up to 1Gb/s across a single link. A recent deployment of this technology by MLL Telecom has delivered a backhaul network with an uptime of 99.9995%.
In-house network planning and design
Our highly-skilled engineers combine planning and design capabilities to deliver networks with low-cost as a priority. We don't stop at initial cost savings, but prefer to guarantee optimum lifetime design every time. We perform both desktop and physical line-of-sight checks ourselves and we have the in-house specialists licensed to remove flora and fauna if required.
24/7 monitoring by our dedicated Network Operations Centre engineers
Once operational, our networks are pro-actively managed by our own engineering staff (even in the case of links that are isolated from the rest of the network). From our dedicated Network Operations Centre, engineers can see across our networks. The partner or end-user is provided with a secure web-based interface giving them access to what we can see. Our engineers are on hand around the clock to detect and manage faults. In fact, in 90% of cases they detect them before the customer does.
In the unlikely event that a field maintenance engineer needs to be sent on site, MLL Telecom deploys one of our own field force experts, rather than waiting for a contractor. This reduces the downtime of the network link.
We take performance and monitoring seriously: each one of our services comes with dedicated SLAs and regular management reports, which we'll use to make recommendations in order to continually improve service levels. And we're dedicated to helping customers meet their budgets, and can adjust the blend of up-front and ongoing charges.
We have seen real benefit from MLL's expertise in this area and we look forward to working with them on future projects.Jonathan Smith, VP, Ericsson
