Former BBC Program Director Takes on New Challenge

MLL Telecom has appointed Gary Marven as its Chief of Operations. In his new role Marven will be tasked with helping to grow MLL's business and develop new business models to deliver services to customers.

Eddie Minshull, CEO of MLL Telecom commented, "Gary has joined us at a very interesting time for the telecoms world, which is undergoing huge changes. Customers are demanding more capacity, especially for data services, and the industry is looking for more cost effective ways to deliver them. Government agendas, such as network sharing, are also driving innovation in service delivery as government bodies are under pressure to reduce costs."

Before joining MLL, Marven spent 11 years with the BBC in a number of senior roles including Chief Operations Officer of the factual and learning division, a £330 million business responsible for education, documentary, science and history and other factual programs. More recently he was Program Director for the Digital Media Initiative. Prior to this Marven spent 12 years at Granada Group where he worked in the technology division heading up major projects in the profit improvement plan and also as a Commercial Director.
