The French call it "bouchon", for me it's an annoying bottle-neck

Reading Nick Wood's blog (Nick Wood, Total Telecom, in Singapore Tuesday 21 June 2011) made me think about my recent trip to France... . Why, you may ask?
Well, "Bouchon" ("plug") in French, is used to warn drivers of a bottle-neck or traffic jam ahead, which is something that Nick talks about about in his blog with regard to mobile backhaul. Of course, the impact of bottle-necks in backhaul goes beyond cloud services and applications - it affects all the traffic to all customers serviced by the backhaul link(s). That means all your web browsing, instant messaging, data downloads and application traffic. One of the things MLL has been best at over the years, is designing and managing backhaul links to avoid or mitigate these problems and with the continuing increase in traffic from all our mobile devices, I think this expertise will be in great demand over the next few years!
