Licence Exempt Spectrum

Frequency spectrum that has been opened for General use by Ofcom. Generally, the 5.8GHz band has been reserved for Licence Exempt transmission. Users must register the equipment with OFCOM, and this, combined with frequency shifting radio equipment ensures that incidences of interference are minimised.
