According to a recent Environmental IT Leadership Team report, ICT generates 3-4% of the world's carbon emissions. That's equivalent to the total emissions of the entire airline industry. MLL Telecom is dedicated to its initiatives aimed at minimising the environmental impact of our own activity and that of our customers' networks.

Engineering for the environment

Energy efficiency is always a high priority in our network designs. We use component technologies with best-in-class power efficiencies and only work with vendors who dispose of electronic equipment in accordance with EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations.

Example of innovation

We designed an innovative wind-turbine to power a remote radio site which was enviromentally unsuitable for a diesel generator.

Responsible operations

We've invested in remote alarm monitoring and diagnostics for our customers' links, which means that our engineers can often fix faults without travelling to sites unecessarily.

Our fleet of vehicles are best-in-class for low CO2 emissions. We also operate a best-practice recycling, heating and lighting policy in all our offices.
